5K Run/Walk Route
5K starts near Marion Park with a start LINE in the middle of Fourth St. just north of the Registration tent and the outdoor city pool.
The race will go up Fourth Street to Prairie Street (PF), across the Hwy. 60 bridge, left on Golf Road to a turnaround point at the golf course, and back to the finish line along the same route back to Marion Park.
10K Run Route
The 10K starts at the same point, up Fourth Street to Prairie Street (PF), across the bridge on Hwy. 60, up the hill to Hwy. 188, left on 188 to Golf Road, left on Golf Road, and back to Hwy. 60 and Marion Park, along the same route back to the finish line.
RACE STARTS at 8:00 AM
The 2025 Cow Chip Classic 10K and 5K Run/Walk was a very successful event with 668 participants. In 2026, we hope to make the 46th Cow Chip Classic Annual Run/Walk even more successful. It’s a beautiful run through the scenic Wisconsin countryside. We look forward to seeing you and your family on Labor Day weekend.
Weather Cancellation
The Sauk Prairie Police Department is responsible for deciding whether to cancel the race if the weather is threatening.
